Dental Practice In The Heart Of Lisburn

What is the difference between composite veneers and composite bonding?

Veneers are wrapped over the whole front surface of your teeth (the surface people can see when you smile) whereas composite bonding focuses on the tips of the teeth. If your teeth are well aligned but the tips are chipped and uneven then minimally invasive composite bonding (link to bonding pagehere) might be an ideal treatment for you. If your teeth are mildly crooked or need building out then veneers might be able to correct this.

Your Veneer Journey With Us

As every case is different, you will have an initial consultation appointment with one of our expert treatment coordinators where we will spend some time to fully understand your cosmetic wishes and make sure you are suitable for treatment.

Once treatment has been planned and confirmed your composite veneer appointment is scheduled, it is often completed in a single appointment meaning you will walk out with the smile you want on the same day!

We always want the best and most predictable outcome for our patients; with that in mind, there is an amazing option for a Trial Smile.
This means your smile is digitally designed by you and to your wishes.
The trial smile is a provisional, non invasive temporary smile placed on the teeth. It allows you to “test-drive” your new smile before committing to long-term changes.
This extra stage in the smile design process ensures that the outcome of your dental treatment will meet your expectations and you will have full confidence in knowing the finished result will be perfect.

Our dentists at Epic Dental go to great lengths to ensure that the Trial Smile is exactly what you have requested. Our patients leave smiling with confidence and that is what is so important to us!

Composite bonding is often not just a treatment but a whole life confidence boost. We see so many beautiful people completely transform in front of our eyes when they finally have the confidence they deserve and can display the smile they’ve always wanted.

Frequently Asked Questions

In most cases, direct composite veneers can be completed in a single appointment.

As we are placing a layer on the teeth, we would expect the composite veneers to remain functional and aesthetic for anywhere from 5-7 years before replacement may be required. We always advocate polishing appointments be carried out to prolong the life of the composite veneers and keep them looking lustrous and shining beautifully like natural teeth.

As with any treatment, it is important to maintain good oral hygiene, minimise dark and pigmented foods and drinks to reduce the amount of staining, and of course, avoid smoking!
